| Introduction | I'm 51, happily married and semi-retired. I'm an avid Yankee fan, love tequila and a good cigar and don't have a lot of tolerance for stupidity. For 25 years I worked as a newspaper editor in Trenton, NJ, a job I loved but no longer have because of cutbacks. Oh yeah, I'm handicapped - very handicapped. For nearly 40 years I have battled FSH muscular dystrophy, a disease that has slowly robbed me of physical strength. But you won't hear me complain. I know I'm lucky. I've got a good life and I'm very thankful for it. It could be worse and it could be better and that's what keeps me moving forward. |
