Introduction I remember my mother and grandmothers showing me how to sew buttons when I was barely old enough to have developed fine motor skills. Another early memory was thrift store shopping, and I've been hooked on the brimming treasure trove of previously-loved goodies ever since. Growing up in communist-era Poland, my mother sewed out of necessity, and not only in the sense that all clothing had to be fixed and worn until it was threadbare. She could either choose to wear the drab state-sanctioned clothing, or make her own hip duds copied from pictures of the West of the latest fashions, like groovy too-short miniskirts. I feel that Bombshell Rehab is in keeping with these family "traditions". As a child, I also used to paint on anything and everything: a huge dragon mural on my bed frame, a pair of shoes would receive a green and checkered face-lift. So how does that translate to Bombshell Rehab? It's a fusion of my artwork, my love of vintage fashion, and environmentalism.
