About me

Location Portland, OR, United States
Introduction After spending most of the 1980s living and working as a freelance photographer in Europe, I reluctantly returned to America in 1990. Then in 1995, I made a life-long dream reality when I traveled around the world for eight glorious months. Instead of taking pictures on the trip, I kept a daily journal, which led to what I feel is my "true calling", writing poetry. My poems have appeared in both national and international literary print magazines and in numerous literary websites online. I am the founding editor of Concelebratory Shoehorn Review, a monthly literary ezine, but I still peddle my time as a private tutor, which is not half as bad as it sounds. Fact is, thanks to the joy I find in teaching, I no longer want to live on icebergs, which is a good thing, especially since they seem to be disappearing.
