| Introduction | Kindness, honesty, say what you mean and mean what you say, integrity. Life experiences, good and bad, should be looked at as building blocks to the next phase of life. Deaths, divorce, bankruptcies, layoff, busyness to loneliness, have to have not, a large circle of “friends” to less than a handful. I’ve experienced them all and more. How does that saying go?... Bitter or better? I fight bitterness, and work to become better everyday. Anger and bitterness only makes for wrinkles and a brittle spirit. I’ve come to find beauty in the rain, cleansing in the wind, and hope in the blue skies. I appreciate and value clear communication. I think every conversation can be an opportunity to something good, so listening, a smile, an extra moment to acknowledge someone are all important. I look back and realize how much I learned from my mother. Not in what she said, but how she lived her life. She always forged ahead. Nothing could stop her - well, except that stupid brain tumor - but her attitude was always one of victory and strength, and faith in God. I am thankful for the cherished memories that she left with me and everyone that knew her. |
