| Introduction | After being quite suddenly widowed in April of 2010, I've survived months of agonizing heartache, a few betrayals, financial ruin, and learning to navigate the realm of dating over forty. | Favorite movies | Lonsome Dove, Appollo 13, It's a Wonderful Life, To Kill a Mockingbird, Avatar, all three Lord of the Rings, and the Star Wars series, Steele Magnolias, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and Ray. |
| Favorite music | Any & all country, some jazz/jazz fusion, some top 40, rockabilly, classic rock, and some swamp pop. I despise rap music with a passion. |
| Favorite books | Anything by Larry McMurtry, Ann Rice, and Alice Hoffman. Also, the dragon rider of Pern books by Anne McCaffery, and of course Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird. Another favorite is The Thornbirds, and I like the earth books by Jean M. Auel. |
