| Introduction | Baby boomer hiker. I started backpacking as a way to "go farther" and as a way to combine hiking and camping. My first trip was solo with dog carrying about 30+ pounds for an overnighter. Did not go farther, but I was totally hooked. I started to seek the light side in 2000. I can now do that same overnighter carrying a 12 pound pack. I like to do gear reviews from a woman's point of view, since those types of reviews are few and far between. I hope my reviews and rambling help folks out and also get them stoked! |
