| Introduction | I feel a little ridiculous writing about myself but feel like I should say something here! I am Kristel. 34 years old. I have been a therapist for 9 years, married for 6 years and a mother for almost 4 years. I am incredibly fortunate for a wonderful life. Hearing loss has been one of my biggest challengs, yet one of my biggest blessings. I am grateful for how it has stretched my capacity for compassion, humility and aligning my priorities correctly. |
| Interests | My family-- I am passionate about providing opportunities for my children to develop strong values. I also love creating memories with my family. We definitely live up the holidays! Work-- I only work part time but absolutely love my job. Helping others strengthen their relationships and increase their coping skills for life challenges is very rewarding. (And it gives me a mental health break from toddlerhood). Hearing loss issues-- There are so many "hidden" hearing loss issues. I want people in the world with hearing loss to know what's available to them. Advocating for those with hearing loss has helped me deal with mine. God-- Of course, I contribute all the good parts about me to a loving Heavenly Father who has a personal, invested interest in my life. |
