| Introduction | I am a modern quilter and I am completely consumed by it. I so appreciate the blogs of fellow quilters and in October of 2010, I launched my blog to share with others what I do and what I have learned. My love for sewing began at my mother's knee when I was very young. At that time, my mother made clothing for me and my sisters. She taught me how to read patterns, cut fabric and sew on the machine. Later in life, my mother focused her sewing interests on quilting and once again, she influenced me and expanded my horizons. Now both mom and I are smitten with quilting and all things quilt related. I am married and have been since 1982. My husband, John Cain is 100% supportive of my hobby and I couldn't be any luckier. John and I have two cats, one named Max and the the other named Molly. They too appreciate my efforts and are often found snuggling in one of my finished works.
