| Introduction | Mary is a third-year student at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, with a minor in Program in the Environment. She has won several notable awards and recognition, including acceptance to the 2008 Sustainable Energy Fellowship, and recognition with the William J. Branstrom Freshman Prize and 2007 Dare to Dream grant. On campus, she has been actively involved as the co-president of the university undergraduate chapter of Net Impact, overseeing and coordinating weekly meetings for the 20 member inaugural board. Additionally, Mary is founder and general manager of Iorio Italian Ice, online marketing associate for Maggie's Functional Organics, lead cashier at Zingerman's Delicatessen, and research assistant at the U of M. Her professional experiences include presenting at the 2007 Michigan Sustainability Summit and the 2007 Net Impact National Conference. Her research on the voluntary carbon market is published on the website of the U of M's Erb Insitute Global Sustainable Enterprise at http://erb.umich.edu/Research/Student-Projects.htm. Mary's hobbies include outdoor recreation and sports, vegetarian cooking, gardening, and horsemanship. |
