| Introduction | I've never been a confident writer. I used to have decent grammar but who needs to waste brain power on that when you have the squiggly green line to tell you how stupid you are. That being said, I've never had a desire to keep a blog or write in newsletters or be published in any form or fashion. Part of the reason is that I don't want people to judge me based on my writing the way I judge others when I read their blogs, but also because I just don't have that much to say. You have to be a truly good storyteller to keep a compelling blog running and, to be honest, I'm usually the girl that starts laughing halfway through a story and then botches the punchline and cleans it up with "well, I guess you had to be there." So, since I've adequately lowered your expectations for this blog (and the you I am referencing would mostly include my co-workers who would use this to mercilessly make fun of me if they found it and possibly my parents if they knew or cared what a blog was), I'll set out on this halfhearted commitment to documenting those aspects of my life that I think somebody might actually care about. I give it three posts... four tops. |
