About me

Location Washington, District of Columbia, United States
Introduction Hi, I'm Debbie. I oversee an education program that emphasizes making the world a better place for animals and the people who care about them. Most of my days are spent in Washington, D.C. elementary schools talking to students about animals. My dog, Nigel a rescue dog, used to accompany me to classrooms. Everyone loved seeing Nigel, even kids and adults who claimed to be afraid of dogs. Sadly, Nigel died on August 13, 2016. I wrote a book about Nigel. The book, NIGEL, published by Operation-Outreach USA, is available through Amazon. This is my space to tell you about other interesting books I've read, introduce you to some of the animals for adoption at the shelter, and toss out ideas on how you can help animals. You don't have to live with an animal to be animal advocate! This blog is for kids, and everyone else everywhere, who care about animals. Let's share ideas and make the world a better place for all living creatures.
