| Introduction | I am African American by birth and reside in the United States. Recently, I married a Nigerian citizen in Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria, and we are waiting for our Immigration process to be approved. When I went to Nigeria, it was many "FIRSTS" for me (first time flying, first time traveling outside of the United States, first time visiting a Third World Country, and first time not being surrounded by immediate family and friends). In addition to marrying a beautiful man, my experience in Lagos, Nigeria and its surrounding countryside was truly beautiful, an eye opener, something that will remain forever in my heart and mind, and just plain wonderful. I love Nigeria and the people of Nigeria! |
