| Introduction | I have been everywhere in the rehabilitation world, Geriatrics, pediatrics, acute rehab hospitals, outpatient centers. I have an international perspective, having worked as an O.T. in India (and I present lectures in the summer at the O.T. school in India) I also have a strong management background, a degree from Columbia University in health services management, years of multi site management experience in sub-acute rehab settings, and initiating my own private practice "Agile Rehab Corporation". I love mentoring and teaching, and the process of learning itself. Clinically, the pediatric shift from an adult rehab, geriatrics management career is a fantastic refreshing experience. The hours and flexibility works great with the life phase of prime motherhood decade! In the long term, I would love to take this love for learning further into an academic teaching and mentoring career. What I am looking for in the short term is a new network and mentorship in the pediatric rehab world, and academia. |
| Interests | Life is a chance to contribute and make a positive difference in the world we live in. My interest is in all activities that work towards this guiding principle. I love children, and I spend a lot of time with my own two beautiful children using my theatrical background, and arts and crafts, as well as discuss with them the worldly affairs and realities of everyday life, poverty, disability, and philonthrophy. |
