| Introduction | Dr. O John Ma is a highly accomplished academician and medical professional. He began his academic studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1981, where he earned his bachelor's degree. As part of the university's Junior Year Abroad Scholarship Program, John Ma spent one year abroad at Lancaster University in Lancaster, England. From 1986 to 1990, he earned his M.D. at the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. Beginning with a preliminary internship in internal medicine at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., from 1990 to 1991, postgraduate coursework was broad for Dr. Ma - he completed a residency in emergency medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee in 1991.
