| Introduction | Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, I graduated from Columbus North High School in 1966, and Ohio State University in 1970 with a BFA in fine arts. I retired from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, in June 2008 after working in the Office of Communications and Marketing for 20 years. My primary role was writer/editor, including serving as editor of the alumni magazine. My husband Jim and I are spending our early years of retirement doing what we love best: exploring our country's backroads and national parks, including hiking, backpacking, and cycling. Jim serves as a daily inspiration of how living with prostate cancer does not prevent one from living life to the fullest. We have two children: Hannah, who is a personal trainer living in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and David, who retired from the Department of Defense in Washington DC in June 2011, due to a recurrence of brain cancer from when he was 8 years old. David passed away April 14, 2012, after a courageous one-year battle. |
