| Introduction | When you reach an exalted age, the age which all your life you thought you'd never reach, and you retain most of your faculties, and the world seems about to drop off a cliff, or at least to become inhospitable to most life forms, and most people just dont appear to share or even be able to share your views, the anger at what you have done and not done boils and burns to the point that you want to do something constructive before shuffling off this mortal coil. I have become a keen member of the Green Party of Canada, very interested in seeing green members of the house of commons in Ottawa. To this end I have been the financial Agent in several ridings, active as a member of various committees of the national organisation, and ran in the 2015 federal election. Active in getting and maintaining local associations of the GPC established in the Outaouais region of Quebec. |
| Interests | Eclectic. Recently spent an abortive day trying to count butterflies, aborted because of local thunderstorms. Almost any "wild goose chase," particularly if, as recently, there was a wild goose at the end. |
| Favorite music | Jazz. Clarinet and saxophone pieces. Dizzy G. The Duke. Bird. Take Five. |
| Favorite books | Anything by Christopher Hitchens, Daniel Dennett, Richard Dawkins, not to mention Robert B Parker, Linwood Barclay, and Ayaan Hirsi Ali (not that they are all in the same company!) |
