| Favorite books | There are so many! All of Jane Austen, much of Virginia Woolf, and absolutely, the comedies of Oscar Wilde (with whom I share a birthday). More contemporary: in mystery/suspense--Laurie King, Deborah Crombie, Louise Penny, Thomas Perry, Denise Mina, the old Robert Crais, before he got so macho; literary/mainstream fiction--Elizabeth Strout, Ann Patchett, Richard Russo, Anita Brookner |
