| Introduction | My daughter, Dawn, died on March 28, 2007, due to complications after giving birth. I was unable to work for about two years after Dawn died and, as a result, I lost almost everything I had. I moved to Virginia for four years to regroup and decide where to go from here. I went back to school and got my AA Degree in Business Management, and I'm currently working on my Bachelors. I also fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a bass guitar player. I'm now back in Baltimore playing with the band at church. I love amateur photagraphy, scrapbooking, Latin dancing, working out, reading and writing. I have three wonderful grandchildren, Ashley-age 16, James-age 8 and Michael-age 7, who I see as often as I can. They are the light of my life. My greatest accomplishment in the last four years is my web site, www.grief2joy.com. I hope to help bereaved parents to overcome and create a new and joyous life for themselves in the mist of their grief. The premise is that bereaved parents are powerful! If we can survive this, we can do anything. |
