| Introduction | After graduating from the University of Missouri with a degree in Art I entered the workforce, primarily in commercial banking. During that time I would occasionally take classes: pastel here, acrylic there, drawing in a community college evening class, Chinese brush painting, etc. I retired in 2018 and am reclaiming the artist in me. The past year or so has been spent learning new subject matter (Florida landscape), new techniques, experimentation with new materials or re-familiarizing myself with material I had not used since art school; then purchasing equipment and materials; and now, taking a class or workshop here-and-there. While I am/have been a member of the Art Center Bonita (Springs), and Lee County Alliance For The Arts, I am a supporter and former Board member for ART ST LOUIS. As a student I had one drawing accepted into MU's permanent collection. My recollection is this was from a 5-minute pose in my first drawing class. |
