Introduction | I am chefwife. My life revolves around being a professional crochet teacher, designer and clerk at my LYS, the wife of a professional chef and mother. By no means in that order, that changes hourly. I am a Certified Master Crocheter by The Crochet Guild of America, (CGOA), and have been teaching all levels and techniques of crochet for 10 years. The name, "chefwife", is what I began calling myself many years ago when my husband began his professional culinary career. Are there are any other culinary wives out there? I love to crochet and wanted a place to explore patterns and everything associated with crochet. I also knit (some), spin (some) and weave (hopefully some more). In this blog I hope to share my thoughts on crochet as I work patterns, design patterns and create tutorials for your benefit. Let me know how this works for you! |
Interests | Crocheting, spinning, weaving, gardening, cooking, lacrosse watching, playing with my 2 dogs, travel, recently got hooked on rugby! Check out my blog about restoring my old house: www.thealexanderproject.com |
Favorite Movies | Argo, Flight, The Hobbit, Lincoln, The Maltese Falcon, Ironman, Young Victoria, Eat, Love, Pray. Recently re-watched, "Something's Gotta Give". Love it! |
Favorite Music | Classic and current rock and roll, I know the lyrics to every Eagles song. Elton John is a musical genius, along with Stevie Winwood and Stevie Wondr. Celtic and Native American music stirs my soul. Andrea Bocelli sings with the voice of God. |
Favorite Books | I just finished reading, "The Bean Trees" by Barbara Kingsolver and I just started, "The Descendants" but I'm a sucker for books by Lisa Howard, Sue Brockmann and Elizabeth Lowell. |
