| Introduction | I am first and foremost a painter. I am a recently (this month) retired public school art educator. I taught high school art for 21 years. My last year was spent teaching Kindergarten, 4th and 5th grade art. I am very passionate about students, about the place of fine art in their lives, and the quality of art education they receive. I keep up on current issues, problems, curriculum theory, and ideas about art education. My main purpose here is to connect with other art educators, for we have unique problems, and share knowledge and experience with others to help them on their journey, to offer the help I never was offered and never received. No issue art and education related is off limits. |
