| Introduction | For a specific piece of jewelry, sometimes it starts with a particular bead or gemstone I'm really excited to work with. Other times it’s a technique. From this starting point I'll add elements of color, shape and textures and materials. The piece really takes on a life of its own and designs itself. I was introduced to beading and jewelry making by a gal I once worked with. She was making jewelry to sell to her friends and family to earn extra Christmas money. I’ve always had some sort of crafty/creative type hobby. So when I saw her jewelry and how she made it, it intrigued me enough to run out to the nearest craft store to get my own supplies. And that’s when the bug hit and a new hobby was born. Not just born, but took over. Soon I found myself knee deep in earrings, bracelets and necklaces. I was just making pieces for the fun of it. All my girlfriends loved my designs and encouraged me to start my own business. And a new career was born. I really enjoy what I do and am pleased at how happy my jewelry makes people.
