Occupation Early Childhood Teacher
Location Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Introduction I am living every early childhood teacher's dream: reaching children, changing lives. I'm an Aussie living in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. I had plans to open a kindergarten (preschool) here in the city back in September of 2012. It was not possible at that time, so an NGO was started to run day care and after school care, while also facilitating teacher training opportunities, until such a time as Dream Family can get its full registration. The vision is to provide accessible quality early childhood education, providing teacher training and professional development and being a model for change in Mongolian early childhood education. It's a big dream and will take time, but Mongolia is ready for change- so I am here to help the best I can.
Interests Emmergent curriculum, play, Reggio, the outdoor classroom, bilingualism in early childhood, picture books, beautiful spaces, children's art, imagination, poetry, the project-approach, teacher education
