IntroductionI'm so excited for the opportunity to take part in what will be one of the most exciting and challenging experiences in my life so far and I'm proud to be a contributor to this charity with such awesome teammates. Having lived and worked overseas for several years, I’ve been fortunate enough to run in some very cool places around the world. Running was always a constant comfort to me.It was time to decompress and appreciate my surroundings wherever I was in the world at that time.I’ve always been a casual runner with one setback this past spring due to a knee injury on the soccer field, resulting in knee surgery. Not being able to exercise, even for this short period of time made me think about several important people in my life that suffer from permanent physical disabilities. My two cousins with MD and my dear friend Marie Bartova who suffered a spinal injury are the source of my inspiration for taking on such daunting distances.Whenever I think about quitting,I think of these incredible women and find the motivation to run further. Finally, I look forward to highs and lows and the common bond we will share after crossing the finish line knowing that we collectively ran 191miles!
InterestsI’m currently in Charleston, SC where I work for a Department of State contracting company. My sidekick is my dog, Boomer, who shares my affinity for running shoes (I like to wear them and he likes to eat them).
