| Introduction | I'm interested in a thousand different things, but I have a real passion for anything that takes me outside, especially gardening and doing anything that gets my hands dirty. I love composting and soil. I believe there are ways it can and will be integral to our efforts in reducing carbon emissions and getting agricultural soils back up to scratch. I would say that I am a 'soil farmer' as I am really great at building soil, but am a relative amateur at actually growing anything successfully. I keep on trying though, because as much as I love soil, it isn't much to look at most of the time. My other passion is cooking, so you can expect to see some recipes here and there. I love warm comfort food, which isn't surprising since Winter is my favourite season. The relative instant gratification of cooking is a good contrast to the plant-wait-and-pray-that-everything-doesn't-die approach I generally take to gardening as I learn. I have fun with both and find each of these hobbies educational in their own ways. I hope you enjoy what I have to offer. |
