Introduction Welcome to my blog. I have been a vegan on and off for 20+ years. I started when I became an animal rights activist. I was strict for ten years. Then I developed psoriasis and fish oil was the therapy. Since I was desparate, I took fish oil, then fish. After I cured myself with natural remedies I became a vegan again but when I started traveling to Europe several years ago I fell off the vegan wagon again - just a bit. I will always strive to be vegan as long as I live. Now I'm cooking fabulous vegan meals. During those 20+ years I lived with 11 precious companion animals and eating was a necessity, not a joy. All I ate was pasta with every conceivable vegetable. I am not a lover of typical Asian food so I was limited. When my last cat passed away August 2008, I decided to learn how to cook "gourmet" vegan because I love ethnic and gourmet food. I cook one ethnic food per month so that I can learn about the spices, ingredients and preparation of those foods. For many people it's difficult to be a vegan, but I think it is easier when they realize they do not have to sacrifice delicious food in order to save animals, the planet, or their own lives.
