| Introduction | My father Keith was Elsie and Alfred's baby son. There is a tradition that i have tried to maintain in the Duncan family: that the first names of the male children begin with D and that most are called by the second name. Alfred's two sons were David and Donald Keith. My dad was called Keith. He only had one son, me, and I am David Bruce: named after my uncle but called Bruce. Of our four children only one is a son and he is David Robert, called, of course, Bob! Maree and I were married in Karratha WA in 1976. Our children were all born in the North West of Western Australia and still cannot get the red dust out of their hair. Debbie (Deborah) is single and lives in Northam where she is a bank manager. Helen is married to Peter and they have three children, Ayden, Taleah and Zachary. They live in Port Hedland. Beckie (Rebekah) is married to Russell and they live on their farm at Meckering. Beckie works at the Argyle Diamond Mine in Kunnunurra and Perth. Bob (David) is engaged to Jennifer. He is a carpenter craftsman and lives part time in Munster, Perth, and part time at home with us. |
