Introduction	Female. 30-ish. I have a fabulous husband, an enthusiastic son, a roof over our heads, good health, and money left over after we pay our bills. I’m trained as a scientist, so I tend to analyze and tinker with things. Sometimes, I experiment with tangible things, like power tools, fabric and food. Sometimes, I experiment with color and pattern. It’s a labor of love, because it takes a lot more time to make something than it does to buy it, and about half of the projects that I start don’t turn out after all that effort! But I’m motivated by the projects that are successful- they’re organic and beautiful, and the fact that I’ve invested myself in them gives them roots.
