| Introduction | My name is Daniel Shank Cruz. I have a Ph.D. in English from Northern Illinois University. My research interests include African American literature, LGBT literature, Latina/o literature, and postmodern fiction. I also write some poetry. I grew up in New York City, and currently live in DeKalb, Illinois.
