| Introduction | I am 22 year old graduate from the University of Michigan with a degree in Biology. I intend to go to Pharmacy school after this next year, preferably in Chicago or stay at UM. This mission trip to South Africa would not have been possible had I not got involved with Cru my freshment year. Cru is a Christian student group that focuses on evangelism. Through my four years at UM I have come to the realization that evangelism is so critically important! I have chosen to go to South Africa because it falls into a unique category: although it is considered a "reached" country (a country where the gospel is widely found), it is still a country recovering from years and years of social injustice, racial segregation and constant oppression. The country is still hurting and healing and needs the gospel more than ever! |
