| Introduction | I played Dukakis in my elementary school mock-election. I sang Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" in high school in drag at talent shows. I directed my first original material in my second year of college. I wrote my favorite script in 2 weeks while in France at Cannes. I got writer's block when I found out I had cancer and that someone had stolen my identity to purchase lavish gifts for themselves while I sat through chemotherapy. Upon completing my treatment, my mother got diagnosed with a stage 4 brain tumor. For 14 months I stood next to her through 2 surgeries, endless chemotherapies, 6 weeks of radiation - still she passed away and now my future, my life is whatever I want it to be. These days I've been fighting for my life again but by my own rules. I'm presently in India doing ayurvedic treatment, living in a remote village and getting back in touch with the person I could have been had my life not taken so many colorful yet unexpected detours. |
