Introduction | Married to a great guy, Tim, mother of four grown children, grandmother of 7. I have a home filled with antiques & vintage goods. I love to create in my studio, but these days it is on the back burner while I work on genealogy. I have an have an old-fashioned Mercantile (my studio) in my home, where I can display all the treasures I have amassed over the years and open it up to ladies gatherings. Those gatherings would include teas, crafting days, quiltings, bible studies. I feel this would fill a need that goes unmet in today's world. We gals need to be able to share our lives, pray with each other as well as encourage each other. |
Interests | This blog was created a number of years ago before we had Facebook and other sources of social media. I am now going to be adding some genealogy on here, in hopes that I can connect with others who might be searching for the same surnames as I am. Here are some of those names: Witt, Reeves. Griffin, Holmes, Cunningham, Ogden, Gilbert. Much of their history is Arkansas, Oklahoma, Alabama, New Jersey, Virginia. |
Favorite movies | Far and Away, Cold Mountain, The Titanic, Witness, Waltons-The Homecoming, O' Pioneers, Sarah Plain and Tall, Pearl Harbor, The Magic of Ordinary Days, The Patriot, Buffalo Girls, Roots, and many movies about history. |
Favorite music | Blue Grass, Swing, Classical |
Favorite books | Bible. I don't really read books too often. I prefer shorter articles on the Internet. And I am more of a visual learner, so the tv or computer screen are my teacher. |
