| Introduction | ::About my name:: Havilah - The story of the Garden of Eden in Genesis 2:11: "And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium (a resin similar to myrrh) and the onyx stone." My family got the spelling from the bible but the inspiration came from the Broadway play Fiddler on the Roof. Chava is one of Tevye's daughters. She disobeys her jewish father and runs off to marry a russian catholic boy she meets. |
