| Introduction | Born and raised in Birmingham, AL, I spent quite a bit of time in my grandma's kitchen. I learned to cook from my great-grandmother, my grandparents and my mother as early as the age of 10. Growing up in the South, I learned some great food habits and some not so great. Through my education and research, I've just learned about how food affects the body. This is an evolution of what food meant and means to me and how it impacts my family.
