Introduction	I live in Birmingham, England a city which has been described as "aesthetically challenged", a notion which I hope to disprove with my modest collection of photos here. I also travel to France quite a bit, particularly Nantes, which really is a beautiful city. Just upgraded to a Canon Ixus but really want an SLR to do my photos justice! You can not make a silk purse out of a sow's ear and this certainly applies to photography.
Interests	Reading, photography,cinema travel, music(anything from punk to classical), cooking, humour(in all its forms),spirituality, philosophy, psychology.
Favorite movies	Laurel and Hardy, Harvey, The Lost Weekend,To Kill A Mockingbird,Taxi Driver, Raging Bull(Anything involving Scorsese and De Nero), Alfie, Midnight Cowboy, One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, Kes, Withnail And I, Life is Sweet, Last King Of Scotland.
Favorite music	Beatles, Kinks, Velvet Underground, Nick Drake, Bowie, The Jam, The Smiths, The Pixies, House Of Love, Manics, Beck, Nirvana, Sigur Ros, Super Furry Aniamls, many, many others.
Favorite books	A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway, On The Road by Jack Kerouac. Crime And Punishment, Doestoyevsky, Age Of Reason, Sartre, L'Assomoir, Zola, Ulysees, James Joyce, all the novels of Thomas Wolfe.
