Introduction	The Steering Committee supported by WSM for Asia is a new structure within the 2014-2016 program. It is composed out of representatives from Nepal, Bangladesh and India, joined by Cambodia, Indonesia, and Philippines, as well as YCW ASPAC. The Steering Committee (SC) is a body within the WSM program that supports the steering of its actions. The main objective of the steering committee program is to plan, monitor and evaluate the progress of the WSM program in Asia, with a particular focus on the political actions and synergies on a regional and international level. As such, it serves as a think tank, to reflect on the country and regions context and develop the political vision concerning social protection. The SC is invited to establish priorities for advocacy towards policy makers and ensure a coherent and complimentary approach between individual, national, regional and continental political agendas.
