| Introduction | I'm a mom to the most incredible girls ever. They are my absolute pride and joy. We've been through a lot and they have taught me so much about who I am and the strength that I possess. I am a teacher and have been teaching first grade for 20 years now. I love it most of the time. I love being able to take an eager mind and show it the power it can possess. I am a survivor of PPCM (Peri partum Cardiomyopathy,) Better known as a form of congestive heart failure and still undergoing treatment! I'm a widow of 7 years . I was married to the most amazing man and my best friend for 9 years, with him for 12 years. He was an incredible person who taught me a lot about love, life, and strength. He was an amazing father who would give anything for his daughters, even his own life. So I'm learning how to live again. This has proven to be an interesting journey already! It's kind of like being on a roller coaster in the dark. I'm trying to re-discover who I am as an individual. I am very blessed to have friends and family who have supported me and continue to support me on this wild ride. |
| Interests | My girls come first, so everything I do is for them. When I do get time for myself I love to do anything outdoors, camping, hiking, sports, I love to read, write, and cook (I'm a kick ass cook) and I have a blue belt in tae kwan do. |
| Favorite Movies | I enjoy a good movie. It would be impossible to list all my favorites. A few recent ones include: The Bucket List, 27 Dresses, Hancock, and The Kite Runner. I loved Grandma's Boy, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, The 13th Warrior, Armageddon, Fight Club, Underworld, HairSpray, Ice Age. My all time favorite movie is Mary Poppins and it has been since I was very little. |
| Favorite Music | I'll listen to just about anything. Lately it's been country as well as Jack Johnson, Maroon 5, Amy Whinehouse, Sarah Barielles, Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedengfield, Daughtry, Creed, Nickelback, Godsmack, Katy Perry, Sugarland, and many others. It just really depends on my mood. |
| Favorite Books | I read a lot! I couldn't possibly list all my faves! Here's my most recent reads. The Invitation, The Kite Runner, The Dance, Best Friends, I also really enjoyed the Twilight Series. |
