| Introduction | Born and raised in the 805 area, I have been here for most of my life. The exception was when I spent 18 months on the Big Island of Hawaii! My beauty interest was started when our family moved to Ojai when I was 9. We had a neighbor that wore jewelry, wore makeup and dyed her hair!! WOW! It seemed like if you had all that you must be happy - she always laughed! She took me shopping in the big metropolis called Ventura. WOW!! She even went out to lunch at a restaurant! WOW, I thought I wanted to have those similar qualities when I grew up! So when I was 20, I went to beauty school. I bought my first salon at 23, being the youngest business owner in Ojai at that time. A few years later I opened The Beach at Ojai, a tanning salon, later incorporating hair and nail services. I have worked as a Cosmetics Manager for a local drug store, was a Beauty Advisor for Clinique at a local high-end department store, where I was the top $$ producer. Transferred to Santa Barbara to become the Clinique Counter Manager. Boots Cosmetics USA and I found each other and have developed a wonderful relationship continuing to this day! |
