Introduction I have lived in Memphis since I was four years old. For the past twelve years I have worked at Madonna Learning Center, primarily teaching adaptive physical education. I am a certified yoga teacher but consider myself first and foremost a student of yoga. Continuously working on bringing my practice with me off the mat and connecting it in to all aspects of my everyday life. I am married to a loving husband, have two beautiful children, two dogs, and two guinea pigs. I also love horses and am lucky enough to have one horse friend who is a great listener and she loves to be groomed too! I chose the name Sparrow’s Nest because the bird represents; protection, joy, hard work, simplicity, and community, all of which are attributes that resonate with my own heart. While growing up my mother use to always say to me.......Little by little the bird builds her nest. I love that! In terms of occupational therapy we fill our nests with the things that we love to occupy our time. What I love about occupational therapy is that it brings to our attention the special artistic qualities that everyday life holds.
