| Introduction | the poet Shazza is a Spoken Word Artist, Published Playwright and Author. His collection of works also include Short Stories, Screenplays, Photography and Graphic Art. With a degree in Foreign Policy/Economics and a graduate studies in Communications, Poet continued his diverse studies in Engineering. An Actor of Stage and Independent Film, Poet is also a Community and a Civil Rights Advocate. Published in The Giving Voice in 1993 and Faith 1994; both creative compilations of poetry and short stories, Poet went on to write the film scripts Cloak and Dagger, Leningrad, PENN and the plays Shadow of a Man, Tono and the Sweet Drink, Mindgames, The Blow, Variants and Many Moods of Shakespeare. FCC Licensed, he has produced, directed and hosted two radio talk shows; Straight Talk and Prisoner's Request along with a weekly Urban music show Sounds of the City. Poet has been seen in the film, The Navigator, the Main Stage play A Raisin In The Sun, the musicals Porgy and Bess, Motown's Review, Godspell, West Side Story, New York City Subway, Pirates of Pendance, Mozart's: The Magic Flute and the one-act plays Mad Dog 20/20, Line, Wine in the Wilderness, and Improv. |
