| Introduction | Karen Deming was born in Bismarck, North Dakota and raised in the state of Montana. She always knew she wanted to study art and left Montana for Washington where she attended the Art Institute of Seattle. After earning her degree and beginning her career and new marriage to Jesse Deming, she changed directions again and became a stay-at-home mom to her new baby boy, Blake. Little did she know that when Blake turned three, his inquisitive mind would bring her an idea for her first published childrens book. As this idea grew, it became her prayer and mission that it will touch the hearts of children all over the world no matter what race, color, or creed. |
