Introduction Sarah Vollett is a former lab scientist and current business analyst with a background in molecular biology. She's moved out the lab, but is still busy finding ways to keep science incorporated into her life. As a life-long "science is COOL" geek, she deeply believes that science should be available to all, and that by and large, neither popular media or academic institutions are regularly successful at communicating science in a way that is both accurate and understandable. As a total foodie with a long list of food restrictions, she's also moved her experiments from the lab into her kitchen, playing around with all kinds of materials and methods to support a diet without gluten, dairy, soy or eggs. She tends to mostly write about topics that catch her fancy, but she's also totally open to answering any specific questions that people might have, be they related to science news or particular recipes.
