| Introduction | Professor Eguakhide Patrick OAIKHINAN is the First Professor of Ceramics Engineering in Nigeria. He received his first degree in 1977 in Ceramics Science and Engineering from the University of Staffordshire in the United Kingdom and a Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) from the University of Leeds in the same discipline. He had a PhD in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering in 1986 from the University of Wales in the United Kingdom.
