| Introduction | Having explored parts of 58 countries, many on a tight budget, (including living on just £20 a day for a year), Lydia is skilled at discovering wonderful places to visit and incredible restaurants to eat at all over the world. She prefers slow travel to really immerse herself into the soul of a place and will always take a bus or train journey over a short flight when possible, even if that means taking a 25-hour bus journey across the centre of Brazil. She has stayed in over 200 hostels, hotels, and Airbnbs and written about some of her journeys for Marie Claire US, Condé Nast Traveller Middle East, Harper's Bazaar, BBC Good Food, MailOnline, Oh magazine, woman&home, ELLE and Town & Country. Before its closure, some of her photography was featured in Lonely Planet Traveller. Solo travel is her speciality and she is happiest when hunting out great food while wearing flip-flops, preferably somewhere hot. |
