| Introduction | I am a former freelance designer morphed into a Wall Streeter, morphed into a cake and sugar artist. How's that for a transition! My niece, Antonia, and I have pooled our respective talents (Cakes, Confections and Song!)to form Diva Delights. We provide sugar art and classical vocalizing for special occasion events. Although cakes are the most common medium for expressing my talents, I am lately leaning to more expressive outlets. Painting on sugarpaste, sugar sculpture and architecture, and realistic gumpaste flowers are my strengths and preferred techniques.They have enabled me to customize my work to suit very specific client requests. More recently I have begun restoration and repairs on old religious statues, mostly of Italian origin made of plaster. |
