Introduction	The Magnolia Chapter of the Society of Decorative Painters is dedicated to the teachable art of decorative painting. As defined by the SDP, decorative painting is a diverse art form which utilizes a variety of techniques and media to decorate both functional and nonfunctional surfaces. As a group, these painters stimulate interest in and share information aboutthis art form. One of their primary goals is education. Not only are they interested in increasing the membership's knowledge of decoraive painting but aso introducing this art form to prospective new painters.
