| Introduction | Portrait by my son Luke. I grew up in the midlands of Ireland in the 50s, emigrated to England at the end of that decade, became an illustrator on the 'Underground Press' in Sixties London, went to university in the 70s, and have taught and read around a variety of historical topics since. I was also a free-lance illustrator on a number of educational publications and have had a dozen solo and mixed exhibitions of paintings in Britain, Ireland, Spain and the US. |
