Introduction | A thirty-something queer girl observing life and sometimes, love. I am an artist and hairstylist. I am an independent, firey heart and always finding my way to my dream life. That dream life includes independence, painting a lot, playing a lot, tattoo enthusiasm, stylish and spare vintage decorating, starting over, tropical passion iced tea, laughing a lot, traveling, and spending time with people I'm really crazy about. It does not include being affected by dogma I don't subscribe to or following anyone's rules but my own. |
Interests | Wet paint, battle dancing, strong women, being crafty, moxie, feline antics, typing quickly, feverish pencil movements, sass, gay rights, lesbians, queer girls, andro women, butch women, animal rights, human rights, old neon signs, rollerskates, bike riding, painting in my studio, volunteering, my crazy little chihuahua, really delicious wine, anything with olives, great crowds of friends, having clean floors, vintage things, awesomely bad D movies, did I mention lesbians? |
Favorite Movies | I mostly like strange little movies: The Station Agent, My Life Without Me, Ghost World, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Me and You and Everyone We Know....there are a lot of great, highly underrated movies out there. I also love whimsy - Amelie is one of the best movies ever made. |
Favorite Music | Anything I can sing along to - I like girls with guitars the most - all kinds from rock to coffee shop ditties. I also love a lot of old music - 20's to the 60's. Dean Martin is one of my most favorite men to have ever lived. I could listen to that man sing cereal jingles! |
Favorite Books | Anything that gets me thinking, makes my heart ache, or makes me cry a little. |
When you hesitate before hitting snooze on your alarm clock, are you being lazy?
Oh, I never hesitate in that department.
