Introduction	I can imagine no other place that I'd rather be than out in nature. I have been fascinated with the natural world from a very early age, spending much of my youth in local forest preserves and wild places, patches of forest surrounded by city and suburb. In my 20s I traveled the country in search of wilderness, exploring and camping with family and friends. 20 years later I'm still most passionate about our collective heritage - our National Forests and public land. These very special places are the essence of America. There's still no place I'd rather be.
