Introduction Sandy Nathan grew up in the hard-driving, competitive culture of the early Silicon Valley. “I’ve known people like those in my books since I was a child,” she says. Sandy holds master’s degrees in economics and counseling and was a student in the doctoral program at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. She has been an economist, negotiation coach, and businesswoman. The visionary part of her writing flows from her meditation practice and spiritual experience. A lifelong horsewoman, Sandy is a wife and mother of three grown children. She lives on their California horse ranch.
Interests I write a lot. Too much, my shoulders are falling apart. I'm the winner of twelve national awards. THE ANGEL & THE BROWN-EYED BOY is my new sci-fi /fantasy, paranormal romance, maybe YA tale about love on earth's last day. TECOLOTE: THE LITTLE HORSE THAT COULD also came out in 2011. It's the heartwarming story of a premature baby horse born on our ranch. STEPPING OFF THE EDGE is a spiritual companion for modern people handling things like eBay addiction and way more.My contemporary fantasy, NUMENON: A TALE OF MYSTICISM & MONEY tells what happened when the richest man in the world meets a great Native American shaman. When I'm not writing, I can be found walking around our ranch with my dogs, reading, riding my horse, or hanging out with my family. I’m a mother, a grandmother and someone who’s had several professional careers. My first published writing was in economics.
